China's Tourist Resources and Tourist Products Exhibition opened Monday in world-class tourist city Guilin.

The four-day exhibition, co-held by the Guilin municipal government and the exhibition center of the state light industry society, aims to promote exchange between domestic and foreign tourist goods and services.

The show illustrates the development and achievements of China's tourist industry since China started reforms and opening-up at the end of the 1970s. 

Enterprises and departments of tourism from China and overseas are in attendance.

Participants from Thailand, India and Japan performed exotic dances and sang native songs outside their display booths.

The host city Guilin, with a history of more than 2,000 years, is renowned for its green mountains, clear water and strangely shaped stone formations.

Its world-class status in tourism has created a ripple effect, propelling the industry in surrounding counties.
